The Role of a Master Data Functional Analyst

As a Master Data Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for the development, management, coordination, and maintenance of SAP master data. This includes understanding the operational aspects of the business to troubleshoot issues resulting from master data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining SAP master data
  • Understanding the operational aspects of the business to troubleshoot issues
  • Coodinating with functional areas regarding customer master data to ensure compliance and effective processing
Requirements
  1. At least 10 years of experience in SAP MM/SD implementations, with at least 5 years dealing with SAP Master Data
  2. Able to work independently with business users to gather requirements
  3. Experience in data conversions and migration projects involving large volumes of master data
  4. A team player who can work under tight timelines
  5. Able to work with technical teams and ensure smooth delivery of development objects
  6. Strong technical knowledge of SAP master data elements, processes, and configuration
  7. Leads and performs data analysis, data cleansing through review process
  8. Knowledge on ETL such as BODS functionality, Master Data Governance (MDG) processes, and Data migration Tools
  9. Moniitoring Data Extracts, Data Loads, analyses data errors and resolves root causes
  10. Able to write Functional and Technical Specifications, Test Scripts, and execute test cycles
  11. Working Knowledge on BADI, BAPIs, Message Types, Idocs, Troubleshooting Idoc errors, etc.
  12. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  13. Functional knowledge on Procure to Pay, Order to Cash process, Accounts Payables, and various touch points of master data attributes in PTP & OTC cycle
