Core responsibilitiesProspecting and Lead Generation: Identify and contact potential customers through methods like cold calling, networking, and door-to-door canvassing. Customer Education: Explain the benefits of solar energy, including potential cost savings and environmental impact, and answer questions about products and services. Site Assessment: Visit customer sites to evaluate suitability for solar panels, considering factors like sun exposure, roof orientation, and shading. Proposal Development: Create and present customized sales proposals, quotes, and energy management packages that meet the customer's specific needs and budget. Sales and Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales quotas. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide ongoing support after the sale. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest solar technologies, regulations, and market trends. Collaboration: Work with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth and successful project execution. Typical qualificationsPrevious sales experience, preferably in the solar industry or a related field. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and work flexible hours. Excellent customer service skills. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like sales or marketing is often preferred but not always required.
