
Lead - Total Rewards

As the Lead – Total Rewards, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's reward philosophy to attract, motivate, and retain top talent in a highly competitive FMCG/FMCD landscape. This strategic role demands strong business acumen, market foresight, and a deep understanding of how reward levers impact organizational growth, performance culture, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Rewards Strategy & Design
- Define and drive a forward-looking Total Rewards strategy aligned with the company's business vision, talent agenda, and growth priorities.
- Translate business strategy into actionable compensation and benefits frameworks that fuel a high-performance culture.
- Design agile, future-ready reward models to support evolving business models and workforce needs.
2. Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Lead strategic benchmarking across the FMCG and consumer sectors to ensure competitive positioning in key talent markets.
- Partner with external consultants and internal COEs to translate insights into proactive reward interventions.
3. Executive & Leadership Compensation
- Drive the design and governance of leadership compensation architecture including long-term incentives, retention instruments, and succession-linked rewards.
4. Pay-for-Performance Culture
- Build and institutionalize a strong pay-for-performance framework linking individual and business outcomes.
- Ensure equity, transparency, and effectiveness in reward differentiation through data-backed analytics.
5. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure robust internal governance and regulatory compliance in all compensation and benefits processes.
- Establish internal controls and audit mechanisms to manage risks across geographies and business units.
6. Digitalisation & Analytics
- Build capabilities in reward analytics, predictive modeling, and digitization of Total Rewards platforms.
- Provide strategic insights to CXOs using dashboards and compensation intelligence tools.
Candidate Profile:
- MBA/PGDM in HR or related field from Tier-1 institute (IIM/XLRI/TISS/MDI or equivalent).
- 12–18 years of experience in strategic HR roles, with deep specialization in Total Rewards.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale reward transformation projects in FMCG or similar high-performance, talent-intensive industries.
- Strong understanding of global compensation trends, executive compensation, and performance-linked reward systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to influence at CXO level.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and people strategy.
