What&aposs the role

As a Release Engineering Manager In The HERE NDS Team You Will Deliver Our Map Compilation Product That Creates The Most Comprehensive High Definition Live Map In The Market, Intended To Support Precise Navigation For Self-driving Cars. Furthermore You Will

- Enable the team to execute highly time-bound map deliveries and pipelines to support multiple customers. Team and personnel administration are expected to take up to 25-30% of Release Manager time.
- Communicate with leadership regarding progress against plans, issues and manage risks.
- As a team leader and an effective people manager you are able to hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence.
- Collaborations with Internal customers and stakeholders for co-ordinating map releases and making sure that the deliveries are on-time
- Perform Technical reviews.
- Spend time and effort hiring top talent, coaching and developing people to bring out best.
- Bring consistency in practices and processes across the multi-tiered architecture
- Improve the Software maturity standards within the team.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Follow a documented software development process and be accountable for conformance to software quality standards and map-delivery processes.
- Work collaboratively with other engineering teams to ensure cross-functional goals are met.
- Lead the team to follow organizational standard engineering best practice

Who are you

You are a technical leader with a unique blend of technical proficiency and people management skills. Furthermore you have :

- Bachelors&apos degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 10+ years experience in relevant software or internet service industry with a service operations background supporting high availability environments
- 3+ years of release delivery and people management experience
- Hands-on technical person with experience in IT infrastructure
- Proven expertise in GitLab advanced usage & administrative skills, Artifactory & maven
- Advanced experience in continuous integration & continuous delivery using GitLab (++)
- Experience in managing multiple releases within a challenging timeline and short delivery cycles
- Amazing analytical abilities and a gifted problem solver, besides being a good communicator
- Infrastructure Management, calculation of proper sizing of infrastructure, planning skills in setting up, ramping down, migration of environments is a plus
- Experience in configuring and using Open-Source monitoring and trending systems: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Nagios
- Solid knowledge of Engineering best practices

In this role you will be part of t he HERE NDS (navigation database standard) Technologies team that delivers the multiple IVI and high definition live map to various automotive customers in the market, intended to support various navigation use-cases. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into how we capture the real world, how this is reflected in our reality index, and work with the team on how this data goes straight into cars with our NDS deliveries. We work with Agile practices and co-operate with numerous different teams inside and outside of the company. Our team delivers digital maps in NDS formats to our automotive customers where the data is going straight into cars to power autonomous driving uses cases.
