When you join VerizonYou want more out of a career A place to share your ideas freely - even if they re daring or different Where the true you can learn grow and thrive At Verizon we power and empower how people live work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy We do what we love - driving innovation creativity and impact in the world Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate lead and believe that listening is where learning begins In crisis and in celebration we come together - lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up everywhere always Want in Join the V Team Life What you ll be doingxe2x80xa6Digital Release Management is responsible for planning managing delivering and validating Digital Content Releases in Production Digital Content Releases enable Digital Operations to implement promotions device launches and other initiatives via VZ s digital platforms such as the website and the VZ mobile application As Associate Director Digital Release Management responsibilities include Assessing performance coaching and developing holding employees accountable taking appropriate corrective actions training and providing ongoing direction and feedback Facilitating weekly team meetings for Team USA and Team India Leveraging cross-training within the team to maintain the ongoing fast-paced dynamic content publishing process while accommodating resource unavailability e g illness vacation Defining maintaining and publishing detailed monthly schedules for Digital Content Releases based on planned promotions device launches plan launches and other Verizon initiatives Assigning Digital Release Management resources e g Sprint Managers Team USA Release Managers Team India Release Managers to the planned content releases based e g on resource availability Scheduling special restricted content releases to accommodate dynamic business needs Conducting ongoing risk mitigation for Digital Content Releases e g load balancing across releases risk assessment of content requests releases adjustment of content release plans to be executed in parallel with known GTS releases load tests and tracking of Prod-only validation items per release Collecting data and creating trend reports regarding the Release Quality Health for content releases Tracking Fast-Paths or expedited content requests Maintaining the Confluence Space for Digital Release Management which contains e g release management roles and responsibilities release schedules release partner contacts release deployment information and release process documentation Participation support of Digital Operational Excellence OE efforts and or Verizon quality process improvement initiatives What we re looking forxe2x80xa6You ll need to have Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience Eight or more years of relevant experience required demonstrated through one or a combination of work and or military experience or specialized training Experience with leading a team mentoring and coaching Experience with and understanding of Release Management fundamentals Experience with ecommerce Experience with Project Management processes Knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Even better if you have Prior experience with managing people Experience with JIRA is strongly preferred Prior wireless experience is a plus Strong written and verbal communications skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task Strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and interact with partners on all aspects of the delivery life cycle concurrently If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you we encourage you to apply even if you don t meet every even better qualification listed above Where you ll be working In this hybrid role you ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager Scheduled Weekly Hours 40Equal Employment OpportunityWe re proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees differences including race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin age disability and Veteran status At Verizon we know that diversity makes us stronger We are committed to a collaborative inclusive environment that encourages authenticity and fosters a sense of belonging We strive for everyone to feel valued connected and empowered to reach their potential and contribute their best Check out page to learn more
