Job Description TAS - Operations - AVP Position Overview Job Title: TAS Operations, AVP Location: Pune, India Role Description - Trust & Agency Services (TAS) have over 1,500 clients ranging from multi-national corporations to banks and financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers and supranational agencies around the world. TAS Operations support all types of transactions in the debt capital markets - from conventional to structured debt products, Project Finance, REITs and Islamic Finance - and services for escrows, restructurings, exchanges, Loan Agency, Depository Receipts, Structured Finance and US Mortgage. This is a knowledge intensive role responsible for managing the Debt security lifecycle operations. - The role will require the individual to leverage a deep knowledge of the Debt Security domain working with department heads and engaging key stakeholders in projects and initiatives with a senior global reach. We're seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee daily activities including high level HR duties and setting training standards and hiring procedures. These may include opportunities to optimise the operating model, remodel the settlement flow to reduce external messaging charges or technology rationalisation - Undertakes periodic reviews of the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes and controls - Productivity/Process Improvement - Working with support groups in India as well as operations to understand the reason for exceptions and to drive process improvement as well as a list of required technology enhancements. - Technology Enhancements - To work with the global team to identify, prepare business cases and assist in the prioritisation of changes to the various technology platforms - Manage the professional development of staff across levels of their organization. Guide and mentor a highly motivated team. Champion team accomplishments, drive team culture. Ensure people strategy is implemented with focus on growth and development needs of team members. Plan and lead the execution of employee engagement, rewards, and recognition to help drive performance and employee retention Your skills and experience - 12+ years of experience in Investment banking - Domain expertise on: - Debt products & Debt product lifecycle - Settlements and Payment Operations - Depository Function - Reconciliation - US Mortgage - 7+ years of People Management experience as the role will require managing teams across locations. - Debt security lifecycle from pre-issuance until maturity - A strong team player - Will be expected to develop credibility and a good reputation with people across the globe.
