About The Role The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst at CareerUS Solutions plays a vital role in maintaining the high quality standards of our software products. This position involves designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to identify bugs and ensure the functionality, performance, and usability of applications meet specified requirements. The QA Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery of defect-free software. Qualifications The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in software testing, particularly manual testing, is essential. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), along with Agile/Scrum methodologies, is required. Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr is preferred. Basic knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium, Postman, or Cypress will be considered an advantage. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent documentation abilities, and effective communication skills to work collaboratively within diverse teams. Responsibilities The QA Analyst's responsibilities encompass a broad range of activities aimed at ensuring software quality and process efficiency. Key duties include analyzing business requirements and technical specifications to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. The role involves executing both manual and automated tests to validate application functionality, performance, and usability, while meticulously documenting test results and logging defects in tracking systems such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. The QA Analyst is responsible for identifying, reporting, and tracking defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes through retesting. Additionally, the role requires ensuring adherence to QA standards, best practices, and SDLC processes, as well as actively participating in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews. The QA Analyst also recommends process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and collaborates with product owners, business analysts, and project managers to provide regular updates on testing status, risks, and quality metrics.
