Category Manager – Sourcing (Forging & Steel Machining) Location: Hyderabad Work Mode: 5 days/week (3 days Euroflex site, 2 days GCC Hyderabad) Experience: 14–20 years Role Type: Individual Contributor Shift: Indian Notice Period: Up to 30 days Travel: 30–40% (Domestic) Role Overview The Category Manager – Sourcing will lead regional and global sourcing strategies for forging and steel machining categories, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and reliable supply. The role involves close collaboration with global category teams, SBUs, engineering, and suppliers to drive savings, supplier consolidation, and performance improvements while supporting new product introductions. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute regional and global sourcing strategies for forging and steel machining. - Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, and performance. - Drive cost savings through resourcing, competitive bidding, localization, and process optimization. - Support new product development, supplier qualification, and production ramp-up. - Collaborate with Global Category Managers and SBUs to align sourcing with business needs. - Monitor market trends, capacity planning, supplier risk, and compliance. - Lead supplier audits, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintain accurate sourcing, supplier, and ERP (SAP) data. Qualifications & Experience - B.E./B.Tech (Engineering, Business, or Technical discipline). - 14+ years of sourcing experience in the manufacturing sector. - Strong expertise in forging, steel machining, and low-volume/high-mix categories. - Proven experience in global/regional sourcing, supplier development, and NPI support. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience working in multi-cultural, cross-functional environments. - Proficiency in SAP and procurement tools.
