This role is for one of Weekday s clients Min Experience 4 years JobType full-time Requirements About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager - Conformal Coating to join our manufacturing operations team In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the conformal coating process of electronic assemblies to ensure they meet high-quality and reliability standards This includes managing coating equipment training technicians ensuring compliance with industry standards and working closely with the production quality and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of conformal coating materials and methods such as acrylic silicone and urethane-based coatings hands-on experience with automated coating machinery and a solid understanding of IPC standards related to PCB protection Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of the conformal coating process across multiple shifts or production lines Ensure timely and accurate application of conformal coating on PCBs and electronic components using manual selective and automated methods Oversee the setup calibration and maintenance of coating equipment including masking curing UV thermal and inspection stations Troubleshoot issues related to coating defects equipment malfunctions or process deviations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production process engineering and quality assurance to optimize coating parameters and improve yields Review and interpret technical drawings work instructions and IPC standards to ensure coating specifications are met Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective preventive actions CAPA for non-conformances Train and mentor coating operators and technicians promoting adherence to best practices and safety standards Maintain records of process parameters production output quality checks and equipment maintenance logs Work closely with the quality team to support internal audits customer audits and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Skills Bachelor s degree or diploma in Electronics Mechanical or related engineering discipline 4 years of hands-on experience in conformal coating processes in the electronics or EMS Electronics Manufacturing Services industry Strong understanding of conformal coating materials acrylic silicone urethane methods dip spray brush selective and curing techniques Experience with automated conformal coating machines e g Nordson Asymtek PVA or similar Familiarity with IPC-A-610 J-STD-001 and other relevant standards Excellent troubleshooting problem-solving and team leadership skills Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external auditors or customers Strong documentation and reporting abilities using tools like MS Excel ERP MES systems
