1. Position Summary

- Job Title: Freelance Event Acquisition Partner
- Role Type: Independent Contractor (Outcome-Based)
- Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (Initially)
- Reporting To: Head of Sales & Partnerships

Job Overview: The Freelance Event Acquisition Partner is a results-driven sales professional responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new event contracts for Memow. You will be the primary driver of growth across our entire event portfolio, including a wide array of B2C events (such as weddings, pre-wedding & post-wedding shoots, maternity shoots, baby showers, anniversaries, engagements, and birthday parties) and B2B events (including corporate events, seminars, political events, and professional portfolio shoots).

This is a highly autonomous, flexible role for individuals with a strong network and a passion for the event industry. Your success is measured by one thing: confirmed event bookings. Your earnings are a direct reflection of your performance, with an uncapped commission structure designed to reward high-achievers.

3. Key Responsibilities

- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and source potential clients across all target segments:
- B2C: Actively network to find clients planning weddings, engagements, anniversaries, birthday parties, maternity shoots, baby showers, and other personal celebrations.
- B2B: Engage with corporate entities, organizations, and professionals to secure contracts for corporate events, seminars, political events, and portfolio shoots.
- Client Needs Assessment: Conduct discovery calls and meetings to deeply understand the client's vision, requirements, and budget for their specific event.
- Pitching & Proposal Generation: Present the Memow/Haveit value proposition, demonstrating how our platform and vendor network can deliver a seamless, stress-free event. Utilize the Haveit platform to build and deliver customized, transparent proposals and quotations.
- Negotiation & Closing: Skillfully negotiate contract terms and guide the client through the booking process, leading to a signed agreement and the collection of the advance payment.
- Client Handover: Upon successful advance payment, execute a smooth handover of the client and all event details to Memow's internal Personal Client Representative (PCR) or Operations Team, who will manage the event execution.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all sales activities, leads, and client communications in the provided CRM tool.

4. Ideal Candidate Profile (The Who)

- An Entrepreneurial Hunter: You are a self-starter who thrives on the challenge of building a client base from the ground up. You are motivated by results and financial rewards.
- A Natural Networker: You have an established network in Kolkata. You know the right people, from corporate HR managers to families planning large-scale weddings.
- Industry Insider (Preferred): 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or planning within the event management, hospitality, or wedding industry is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional Communicator: You possess outstanding pitching, presentation, and negotiation skills. You can build rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using digital tools like CRM software and our proprietary platform to manage your workflow and create client proposals.
- Professional & Polished: You can represent the Memow brand with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

5. Outcome-Based Compensation Structure (The How You Earn)

This is a 100% commission-based role. No fixed salary is provided. Your earnings are calculated as a percentage of the Total Order Value (TOV) for each event you successfully book.

Key Terms:

- Commission Trigger: A deal is considered closed and commission is locked in only when the client has signed the official Memow event contract and Memow has received the specified advance booking payment.
- Calculation Basis: Commission is calculated on the pre-tax Total Order Value.
- Payout Schedule: Commission payments will be processed and paid to you within 10 business days of the client's advance payment being successfully cleared in Memow's bank account.

Worked Example: You successfully close a large corporate event with a Total Order Value of 25,00,000.

- The applicable commission tier is 4.5%.
- Your commission earning is 1,12,500.
- The client pays a 50% advance of 12,50,000. Once this amount is received by Memow, your full 1,12,500 commission will be paid out within 10 business days.

- Lead Support: While you are expected to generate your own leads, the company may, at its discretion, provide you with qualified leads from its inbound marketing efforts.
- Brand Credibility: The full backing of the Memow brand and our curated network of pre-verified, high-quality vendors.

7. Contractual Terms & Conditions

- Status: You will be engaged as an Independent Contractor. This is not a full-time employment position. You are responsible for your own taxes and statutory contributions.
- Agreement: A formal Independent Contractor Agreement will be signed, outlining all terms, responsibilities, and commission structures.
- Duration: The initial contract term will be for one (1) year, with the option for renewal based on mutual agreement and performance.
- Confidentiality: You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect company, client, and vendor information.
- Code of Conduct: You must adhere to Memow's professional code of conduct and brand guidelines in all client interactions.
