We are a financial services platform that leverages technology to offer our customers seamless and user-friendly products related to banking, loans, and investments. So whether it’s a savings account, credit cards, investment and payments, it's all on Jupiter. We also help users cut through the banking jargons, offer smart insights based on spending and provide users with a range of new age features to enable and make sense of their finances. Our journey so far: Jupiter was founded in 2019 by Jitendra Gupta. Best known as Citrus Pay’s founder, Jiten found himself wondering why personal finance experiences were not customer-centric when everything else like food ordering and entertainment were. That’s how our journey began in 2019, with a simple, powerful idea : to create a modern, customer-centric experience that empowers individuals when it comes to their money. From our humble beginnings, we've strived relentlessly to make managing money easier. In 2021 when we launched we had a waitlist with over 100,000 people eager to experience the world of Jupiter - and within 10 months we crossed 1 million users. Today, we have 2.7 million + happy users on Jupiter. Our No-Penalty SIP and Daily SIP at Rs 10/- has helped scale our investments business and we have over 100,000 users investing on our platform to fulfill their money aspirations. We’re now looking for like-minded folks to join the crew. Role summary Own Decision Science and Business Intelligence across growth, savings, insurance, credit, rewards, and PFM. Split ~50% IC / 50% leadership, ship production models and insights while scaling a small, high-leverage team. Outcomes you’ll drive - Revenue & CM1/CM2/CM3 uplift; lower CAC / better LTV; controlled losses/NPAs; higher activation, retention & NPS. - Fast, trustworthy decisions via real-time scoring and tight experimentation. - Business insights for all lines of business and strategic bets (clear KPI ownership and governance). What you’ll do - BI + DS ownership: define KPI taxonomy, source-of-truth datasets, self-serve analytics, exec dashboards & weekly business reviews. - Generate insights; build & ship models: cross-sell/propensity, pricing, churn, fraud/anomaly, rewards optimization, bill-shock forecasting. - Run experimentation end-to-end (A/B, CUPED, causal inference/uplift); set guardrails and success metrics. - Stand up production DS: feature store, real-time inference, monitoring/drift, ML observability & rollback. - Partner with Product/Credit/Marketing/Eng to turn insights into launches; write crisp PRDs for DS/BI work. - Hire/mentor 6–10 data scientists/analysts; set the bar on code, reviews, and documentation. Must-haves - Relevant experience of 5–7 yrs in applied DS in consumer fintech/e-comm/payments; recent hands-on Python + SQL is non-negotiable. Total experience should not exceed 10 years. - Shipped models to prod (batch and streaming). - Tooling: sklearn/LightGBM/XGBoost (PyTorch nice-to-have), Databricks/Spark, Snowflake/BigQuery, AWS/GCP/Azure; BI stack (e.G., Power BI/Metabase). - Strong causal/experiment design, metric design, and stakeholder communication. - Data privacy, model risk, and responsible AI for India
