Engineer Shape the Future of Tool Design and Innovation Job Description Focus Skills/: The future of manufacturing relies on rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing integration, and smart tooling. The role of the Tool Designer is evolving into a key specialist who leverages advanced CAD/CAM systems, simulation software, and material science to create high/-precision, long/-life tools that minimize cycle times and maximize efficiency in production. Desired Outcomes/: You will be responsible for the full tooling lifecycle, including conceptual design, detailed 3D modeling using software like SolidWorks or Creo, generating comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings, and performing technical calculations /(e.g., stress, material flow/). Your expertise in Tool Design principles /(e.g., Mold Design, Die Design, Fixture Design/), application of GD&T /(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing/), and understanding of tool steel properties and heat treatments will be crucial.
