Senior Engineer for Innovative Tool Design Specialist Job Description Focus Skills/: High/-performance, multi/-cavity tooling, sophisticated materials, and simulation/-led design are key components of the future of polymer manufacturing. In order to maximise the lifespan of crucial injection moulds, minimise cycle times, and optimise plastic component integrity, the Senior Tool Design Engineer is becoming a crucial technical authority who uses Moldflow analysis, quick tooling techniques, and sophisticated hot runner systems. Desired Outcomes/: Using cutting/-edge CAD software SolidWorks/Creo, you will be in charge of designing, developing, and validating intricate injection moulds. It will be essential that you have experience with DFM Design for Manufacturability evaluations, developing and integrating hot runner systems, applying advanced GD&T to mould components, and Moldflow/FEA simulation. You will work closely with the moulding floor and tooling vendors to diagnose important issues, mentor junior designers, and spearhead standardisation initiatives to lower mould maintenance and increase overall moulding efficiency.
