This is an on-site, field-based role where you will assist senior engineers and site supervisors in daily site operations, quality control, and project execution. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical foundation in civil engineering, basic understanding of construction processes, and a proactive attitude toward learning and teamwork. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on experience in civil construction.Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution and Supervision Assist in day-to-day site execution activities as per project drawings and specifications. Monitor work progress and ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved plans and safety standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of work. Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower as required for scheduled activities. 2. Quality Control and Safety Check the quality of materials used on-site (cement, sand, aggregates, steel, etc.) and ensure compliance with standards. Monitor workmanship and quality of construction (concreting, masonry, shuttering, plastering, etc.). Report any non-conformities or deviations to the Site Engineer or Project Manager. Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed by workers and subcontractors. 3. Measurement and Documentation Assist in preparing daily work reports, labor reports, and material consumption logs. Measure site quantities and maintain records for billing and contractor payments. Maintain a site diary with details of work progress, manpower, and issues faced. 4. Drawing and Planning Support Interpret technical drawings, layout plans, and civil structural designs under guidance. Coordinate with the planning team to ensure alignment with project timelines. Support layout marking, level checking, and site surveying if required. 5. Material and Inventory Handling Maintain proper records of materials received, used, and in stock at the site. Follow up with suppliers or stores for timely delivery of construction materials. Verify bills and delivery challans with actual material received on site. 6. Coordination and Communication Liaise with consultants, architects, and MEP teams for site coordination. Attend regular site meetings and submit updates to the project management team. Ensure clear communication between workers, supervisors, and head office regarding progress and issues.Skills and Competencies Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of RCC, structural detailing, foundation works, brickwork, concreting, etc. Site Supervision: Ability to manage labor and coordinate site tasks effectively. Reading Drawings: Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and layouts. Problem Solving: Can identify minor issues on-site and escalate or resolve them. Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to coordinate with team members, laborers, and contractors. Attention to Detail: Accurate in measurements, quantity estimations, and report submissions.
