About the PositionAs we work towards our mission of connecting the world to their government you will be jumping headfirst into helping drive the success of FiscalNote You will be supporting key priorities across the organization and executing directly on high leverage needs We are seeking a Senior Commission Analyst who brings extensive experience with commission calculations and strong financial modeling skills at a SaaS company You will play a key role in supporting our business with strategic analysis and detailed financial insights About the Finance Business Intelligence Team at FiscalNoteAs we ramp up in revenue team size acquisitions and outside investments our team ensures clarity consistency and transparency surrounding our rapidly advancing financial position Charged to understand everything about SaaS finance and business metrics our team fuels growth with its finger always on the pulse of the company s affairs About YouAnalytical Driven Empathetic Intelligent You have a sharp eye for detail that allows you to generate actionable data Your previous managers describe you as a critical thinker who creates new ways to solve problems and stops at nothing to ensure that information is as accurate as possible You artfully balance the need to evolve with the changing requirements of the business with the structure necessary to manage sales operations at scale With these shifting priorities you are a pro at managing your time and setting expectations with your stakeholders as to appropriate deadlines Comfortable working cross-functionally you are able to tailor your communication style and narrative to suit the needs of the audience - be it a front-line representative or a member of the Board What To Expect in This Position Own monthly and quarterly variable compensation processing validation analysis and distribution of compensation reports ensuring accuracy and timely communication Present commission data and analyses to GTM teams sales leaders and the executive team ensuring clear and effective communication Develop and provide ongoing standard and ad-hoc reports and analyze historical current and prospective commission activity Analyze the cost of commissions per group and ensure alignment with relevant budgets Address and resolve any queries from GTM teams regarding their compensation acting as a trusted advisor Calculate commission accruals for month-end financial close processes Troubleshoot data discrepancies or exceptions effectively communicating outcomes to GTM teams Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to commission payments including maintaining comprehensive documentation of commission calculations payments and audits Provide insights on performance evaluate and analyze trends and serve as a point of contact for commission-related questions Assist with revenue-related aspects of the company leveraging financial modeling skills to provide comprehensive support and insights What Sets You Apart 5 years of experience in a compensation analytics role with a preference for candidates with experience in a SaaS company Demonstrated experience in financial modeling particularly within the SaaS industry Advanced skills in Salesforce Excel and G-Suite Previous experience implementing a sales commission software is a plus Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail Rigorous Time Management Must possess exceptional organizational skills to meet strict deadlines consistently Responsible for ensuring all commission-related activities from calculation to payment are conducted within the established timelines
