We are looking for a proactive Field Sales Executive to join our team The role involves visiting shops in the assigned territory presenting product samples building strong retailer relationships and ensuring our brand is placed in retail outlets The ideal candidate should have prior experience in field sales excellent communication skills and strong operational discipline to manage daily targets Key Responsibilities - Visit shops outlets daily as per route plan and introduce products with samples - Pitch product features benefits and offers to retailers and secure product placement - Negotiate margins shelf space and visibility with shopkeepers - Collect orders and coordinate with the supply team for timely deliveries - Conduct product demonstrations and address retailer queries objections - Maintain daily visit logs sales records and competitor activity reports - Plan route coverage to maximize shop visits and minimize travel time - Ensure timely reporting through sales apps CRM Excel WhatsApp - Coordinate with marketing team for promotions product displays and in-store branding - Follow up with retailers for payments and reorders Core Skills - Sales Negotiation Skills - ability to pitch products persuasively handle objections and close deals - Retail Channel Sales Knowledge - prior experience with FMCG retail distribution is a big plus - Relationship Building - building and maintaining strong connections with shop owners retailers - Product Demonstration - confidently explaining product features and showing samples - Market Knowledge - awareness of local markets competitors and customer preferences Operational Skills - Route Planning Coverage - ability to plan daily weekly shop visits efficiently - Record Keeping Reporting - maintain visit logs orders taken competitor info and payment follow-ups - Basic Computer Mobile Proficiency - using sales apps CRM Excel WhatsApp to report - Time Management - completing daily visit targets and meeting sales KPIs Soft Skills - Communication Skills - clear polite and convincing with shopkeepers - Problem-Solving - ability to handle complaints or resistance from retailers - Self-Motivation Discipline - ability to work independently on the field - Team Coordination - aligning with marketing operations teams for stock promotions Requirement - Minimum 1 year of field sales experience FMCG retail preferred - Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills - Must own a two-wheeler with valid driving license - Self-driven disciplined and target-oriented - Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory ref updazz com
