Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and results-oriented Patient Counsellor to join our client's healthcare team through Acme Services. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations and contributing to its financial performance by effectively communicating treatment value, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong empathetic communication skills, a knack for patient relationship management, and a commitment to patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Operational & Financial Oversight: Responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall financial performance of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and revenue generation. - Treatment Coordination: Engage in daily coordination with the consultant / clinic head based on the treatment advised by them, ensuring alignment and seamless patient care. - Patient Education & Commitment: Effectively help patients understand the value of treatment, guiding and convincing patients to commit to treatment plans. - Financial Explanation: Clearly explain the tariff of the respective procedures/investigations to patients in detail, ensuring transparency and clarity regarding costs. - Reporting & Data Management: Accurately maintain counselor reports daily, including metrics on advice given, conversion rates, and patient-wise data for performance tracking. - Finance Coordination: Facilitate smooth operations by coordinating with the finance department on matters such as invoices, getting discount approval, and billing. - Complaint Resolution & Empathy: Establish a tone of empathy that helps to resolve any patient complaints or conflicts professionally and constructively, preserving patient trust. - Patient Follow-up: Ensure consistent and comprehensive follow-up with patients at all stages of their treatment journey, from initial consultation to post-treatment care. - Long-term Relationship Management: Act as a Doctor for life by being responsible for long-term relationship management with the patient, fostering trust and loyalty. Skills - Strong ability to manage day-to-day operations and contribute to financial performance. - Excellent coordination skills with consultants and clinic heads. - Proficiency in patient counselling and effectively convincing patients to commit to treatment. - Clear communication of treatment tariffs and costs. - Adept at maintaining counselor reports (advice, conversion, patient data). - Strong coordination with the finance department (invoices, discounts, billing). - Demonstrated empathy and skills in resolving patient complaints/conflicts. - Effective patient follow-up at all stages. - Capability for long-term relationship management with patients. Qualifications - Proven experience in a patient counselling or similar client-facing role within the healthcare sector. - Demonstrable ability to manage operational aspects and contribute to financial targets. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong empathetic approach. - Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain patient confidentiality.
