We're Hiring: Zonal Merchant Lead – Airtel Payments Bank

Locations: Vijayawada | Nellore | Chittoor | Rajahmundry

Airtel Payments Bank is looking for passionate and driven professionals to join our team as Zonal Merchant Leads. This role is critical in expanding our merchant network, strengthening distributor relationships, and driving digital payments adoption across Andhra Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

Drive merchant acquisition and onboarding across the zone.

Manage and grow distributor networks ensuring ROI, float management, and compliance.

Lead and motivate a large field sales team (40- 60 executives) & 6 tls to achieve acquisition and activation targets.

Ensure strong merchant engagement and increase transaction volumes.

Build strong relationships with merchants, distributors, and market partners.

Monitor competitor activities and share market insights for strategic growth.

What We're Looking For

Local candidates only (deep understanding of the local market is mandatory).

5–10 years of experience in merchant acquisition, distributor/channel management.

Proven ability in large team handling.

Background in Fintech, Telecom, FMCG, or BFSI preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Willingness to travel extensively within the zone.
