Job Overview The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the employers operations in India. This role demands a strategic leader with extensive international experience who can manage sales, finance, manufacturing, operations, and human resources. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence while supporting the company's vision of being the world leader in food ingredient innovation. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement operational strategies to support the company's objectives and growth in India. - Oversee all aspects of manufacturing and production processes to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time. - Manage financial and budgetary functions, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness across all operations. - Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the region. - Direct human resources functions to foster a high-performance culture and ensure compliance with local labor laws. - Collaborate with R&D, Culinary, and cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and customer satisfaction. - Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making. - Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations, maintaining the highest quality and compliance levels. Skills - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent financial acumen and budgeting capabilities. - Proven experience in operational strategy and execution. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in using data to inform decisions and drive improvements. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management, with significant international exposure. - Experience in the food manufacturing or ingredient industry is essential. - Proven track record of managing multi-functional teams and projects. - Strong understanding of financial management, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics. - Fluency in English.
