Job Description

Position: Hostel Operations- APM

Location: Gurgaon

Working Days: Monday- Saturday

Experience Required: 2+ years

Client: Leading Business School

Preference: Candidates with prior experience of working at early-stage educational startups.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end operations of assigned hostels, ensuring smooth daily functioning.

Oversee and ensure timely and accurate student attendance tracking.

Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure consistent delivery of services.

Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies and escalate to appropriate personnel.

Conduct regular audits to maintain hostel quality standards and safety protocols.

Regularly map Student Net Promoter Scores (NPS) to track satisfaction and service delivery quality.

Identify pain points in the student experience and develop action plans to address them.

Maintain a feedback loop to ensure continuous service improvement.

Coordinate student travel, ensuring timely pickups/drops and that students reach their destinations safely and on schedule.

Foster a warm, inclusive, and hospitable hostel environment.

Plan and execute festivals, events, and informal community gatherings to build a strong student culture.

Act as a bridge between students and management to encourage openness, trust, and responsiveness.

What Were Looking For:

25 years of experience in operations, hospitality, student affairs, or similar roles.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

Excellent people management and communication skills.

Comfortable managing crises, addressing student concerns, and navigating ambiguity.

Passion for student experience and a strong sense of empathy.

Ability to work evenings or weekends occasionally, based on operational needs.
