Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and skilled Commis 1 to join our culinary team As a Commis 1 you will be responsible for preparing ingredients assisting in cooking and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen This role is ideal for someone who has basic culinary training and is eager to grow in a professional kitchen environment Key Responsibilities Assist chefs in the preparation and presentation of food according to standard recipes Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables butchering meat and preparing sauces Cook menu items under supervision and ensure quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations Follow all food safety and hygiene standards as per HACCP guidelines Properly store food items and rotate stock to ensure freshness Assist with inventory control and stock management as needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Support team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment Perform other duties as assigned by senior chefs Qualifications Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant kitchen Basic understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented approach Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Physically fit and able to stand for long hours Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 18 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Work Location In person
