We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role ofConsultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and resolve issues on Netbackup jobs
- Perform Netbackup Agent upgrades / deployments as needed
- Participate on NetApp Storage activities, such as OntAp (Operating System) upgrades, new builds, projects and other planned operations
- Get involved and provide Regional knowledge on incidents related to NetApp Storages and Netbackup
- Document, plan and implement changes for Storage and Netbackup infrastructure
- Working as a part of regional team with local, regional and global stakeholders inside the corporation
- Build and configure Windows systems
- Change implementation - system upgrades via SCCM and automation (scripting)
- Problem Management - Identify service impacting trends and work with the development teams to implement long term solutions.
- Work through problems and issues to obtain root cause analysis
- Support planning and install of new operating system releases to maintain software currency.
- Plan and install upgrades/new software, including some local customization.
- Support planning and installation of system software patches to fix identified problems.
- Manage system & software configurations (via change control)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Subjectmatterexpert on NetApp appliances (FAS and AFF) including all connectivity protocolssuch asIP and Fiber connectivity for SAN and NAS provisioning
- BeabletoprovideCapacityplanningforStorageDynamicExpansionandStorageAuto-provisioningon NetApp Appliances
- Implement PatchingandVulnerability remediation updates ona storageenvironment
- Administerandmaintainthesystemhealthofallstoragesystems
- Knowledgeand experience inbackup/restoreoperationswithfocusonNetBackup
- Configuration,managementandmaintenanceofstorageandstoragereplicationstack
- GoodunderstandingofMicrosoftWindowsenvironment,includingActiveDirectory,DFSNamespace,CIFSfilesharing,andwindowsclustering
- Advancedknowledgeoffileservicesadministrationandpermissionsmanagementandfileauditing
- Understandadvancesandchangesinthetechnologyindustryandworkdirectlywiththevendorstoassessnewtechnologies.
- Good knowledge on installation configuration and Administration of Windows Server environment
