WE ARE HIRING URGENTLY EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER FOR ONE OF OUR CORPORATE CLIENTS. SALARY WILL BE AROUND 40K. Job Overview A Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, tools, and equipment. Mechanical engineers are responsible for conceptualizing ideas, developing prototypes, analyzing product performance, and ensuring the quality and reliability of mechanical components. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality control, and project management, to ensure the smooth execution of engineering projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities A. Design & Development Conceptualize and design mechanical systems, tools, machines, and components based on project requirements. Create 2D and 3D CAD models using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or CREO. Perform feasibility studies and design calculations to ensure product efficiency and safety. Develop prototypes and collaborate with the production team for manufacturing approval. B. Project Management Plan, organize, and oversee mechanical engineering projects from start to completion. Define project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to meet deadlines. Maintain detailed project documentation, including specifications, reports, and schedules. C. Testing & Quality Assurance Perform testing and validation of mechanical components to ensure compliance with quality standards. Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure mechanical products meet ISO, ASME, or relevant industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related or operational issues promptly. D. Maintenance & Operations Support Oversee maintenance activities for mechanical equipment and systems. Conduct inspections to identify wear, tear, or performance issues in machines. Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime. Provide technical support to production and operations teams. E. Research & Innovation Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and engineering practices. Propose innovative solutions for improving efficiency and productivity. Participate in research and development for product improvement and new designs. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD and CAM software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, NX, or Fusion 360. Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Familiarity with materials science, heat transfer, and machine design. Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, testing tools, and diagnostic instruments. Project & Process Management Skills Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously. Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost control. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage. Soft Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Effective teamwork and leadership capabilities. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
