1. Job Overview A Store Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of a retail store. They are responsible for assisting customers, maintaining inventory, organizing shelves, processing sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The position requires a customer-focused mindset, good communication skills, and basic knowledge of sales operations. Store Associates are the face of the store and help create a positive shopping experience for customers while supporting the store team in achieving sales targets. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Customer Service Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Understand customer needs and help them find suitable products. Provide product information, pricing details, and recommendations. Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns effectively. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt service. B. Sales & Billing Assist in processing sales transactions through POS (Point of Sale) systems. Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize store revenue. Support in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Educate customers about promotions, discounts, and new arrivals. C. Stock Management Receive, unpack, and organize new stock efficiently. Ensure products are correctly labeled and displayed on shelves. Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to the supervisor. Assist in stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. D. Store Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and display areas. Ensure products are well-arranged and attractively presented. Check for damaged, expired, or misplaced items and report immediately. Follow store hygiene and safety standards. E. Reporting & Coordination Prepare daily sales and stock reports for the Store Manager. Coordinate with the back-office, warehouse, and delivery team when required. Support in implementing store policies, SOPs, and promotional activities. 3. Required Skills & Competencies A. Technical Skills Basic knowledge of retail operations and inventory management. Familiarity with POS billing systems and digital payment methods. Understanding of product display techniques and stock handling. B. Soft Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-centric approach with a polite and friendly attitude. Ability to handle pressure during peak hours. Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
