Job Title- Engineer - Home Loan Savings- Cobol Deployment Home Loan Savings TDI- Private Bank-Products Corporate Title- AVPLocation- Pune IndiaRole DescriptionOur Home Loan Savings teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank TDI develop and maintain applications for home loan savings business of Private Customers BHW Changes are implemented on time to market challenges as well as on development of the application landscape by using Google Cloud technology In addition to the SAP-based home loan savings and mortgage lending core systems the application portfolio also includes the business partner data systems the connection to payment transactions as well as the interface to the frontends and the data preparation and delivery for the banks dispositive systems We are acting as a pilot for the migration to the Google Cloud with our applications and are preparing for the transition to an agile collaboration model We are now building a team in India to work closely with the existing team in Germany leveraging virtual collaboration techniques and the diversity of our team to achieve our goals of continuous delivery process improvement and internalization of technical expertise As a Cobol engineer you are responsible for the design and implementation of the deployment of Cobol X86 applications for our home savings domain and its integration into the Deutsche Bank landscape You will perform both strategic and operational tasks in both agile and classic environments You work closely with colleagues from the business analysis IT architecture and IT operation departments in both agile and classic ways contributing to the success of the growing domain Home Loan Savings What well offer youAs part of our flexible scheme here are just some of the benefits that youll enjoy Best in class leave policy Gender neutral parental leaves 100 reimbursement under childcare assistance benefit gender neutral Sponsorship for Industry relevant certifications and education Employee Assistance Program for you and your family members Comprehensive Hospitalization Insurance for you and your dependents Accident and Term life Insurance Complementary Health screening for 35 yrs and above Your key responsibilities Ensure implementation and deployment of COBOL applications on x86 architectures Work with development teams to understand application code and clarify deployment requirements Configure and maintain deployment scripts and automate deployment processes Ensure system integration and work with system administrators to ensure smooth operations Error analysis debugging and optimization of COBOL applications during deployment Conduct tests to ensure deployments meet requirements and standards Continuously develop deployment strategies and identify optimization opportunities Document deployment steps and ensure compliance with company policies Assist in training team members on COBOL x86 deployment procedures Actively participate in evaluating new technologies and best practices in COBOL development and x86 architectures Your skills and experience Minimum 5 years experience in a in a similar role Expertise and long-term experience in Cobol development especially on an x86 platform with Micro-Focus in combination with Oracle SQL and PL SQL and knowledge of x86 architecture Excellent knowledge in Unix scripting especially in creating deployment scripts and automating deployment processes Very good knowledge of architecture and integration patterns code conventions and other best practices Extensive experience in the design of development processes and deployment processes Familiarity with testing processes and quality assurance in the context of deployments Problem-solving skills in error analysis and debugging of COBOL applications You are enjoying the joint development of solutions in an interdisciplinary team Pro-active team player with very good communication and excellent English language skills for interacting with stakeholders German language skills are a big plus Experience with working together with Agile SCRUM teams and their methods and tooling Home Loan Savings know how and Mortgage Lending know how are a big plus Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies Knowledge of Microfocus Enterprise Server desirable How well support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us and our teamsPlease visit our company website for further information We strive for a in which we are empowered to excel together every day This includes acting responsibly thinking commercially taking initiative and working collaboratively Together we share and celebrate the successes of our people Together we are Deutsche Bank Group We welcome applications from all people and promote a positive fair and inclusive work environment
