The Role We're seeking a Vice President Technology who is a hands-on builder and individual contributor not just a manager. You'll design, code, and ship core products while helping set the technical direction and roadmap for Xenonlabs.ai. This is a part-time leadership role initially (around 1520 hours/week) with an equity-first structure and the opportunity to grow into a full-time CTO-level position as the company scales. Key Responsibilities - Architect & build: Develop scalable systems using Python, Next.js, React, and AWS. - Own the tech vision: Define and execute the company's technology roadmap. - Be hands-on: Write production-quality code, deploy to AWS, and optimize performance. - Drive product delivery: Collaborate closely with founders on release cycles and architecture decisions. - Lay the foundation: Set up DevOps pipelines, code standards, and scalable infrastructure. - Grow with the company: Mentor future engineers and shape the engineering culture. Tech Stack & Skills - Languages: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript - Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS - Backend: FastAPI, Node.js, Prisma ORM - Cloud & DevOps: AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, CloudFront), Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD - Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB - Expertise in system architecture, API design, security, and scalability. Who You Are - 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong technical depth. - A passionate individual contributor who leads by doing, not delegating. - Proven ability to build products from scratch and deliver in agile, startup environments. - Self-driven, curious, and motivated to create something impactful. - Open to part-time engagement initially, transitioning to a full-time role as the company grows. Compensation - Phase 1 (First 3 months): Equity-only (founding team structure). - Phase 2 (Post 3 months): Salary + Equity based on company milestones and performance.
