It has been more than 60 years since SYSTRA has garnered expertise that spans the entire spectrum of Mass Rapid Transit System SYSTRA India s valuable presence in India roots back to 1957 where SYSTRA worked on the electrification of Indian Railways Our technical excellence holistic approach and the tremendous talent provides a career that puts people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency Understand better who we are by visiting www systra in Context In India SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros High Speed Rail Railways Roads Buildings Urban planning and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations Our unique expertise is backed with a reputation built through technical excellence delivered on projects Our fully integrated services are tailored to plan and manage projects using proven best practices In India the launch of the first line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation DMRC in 2002 put SYSTRA on the map as a key partner for mass transit lines in the country and initiated a longstanding partnership with DMRC Since then SYSTRA has been involved in more than 80 of metro projects in India in all major Indian cities - Ahmedabad Bengaluru Delhi Mumbai Pune Surat Nagpur Kochi and Hyderabad The collective team competence built up in the two decades in the metro business renders us capable of delivering innovative reliable cost-competitive Project Management solutions adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality We are seeking applications for the position of Resident Engineer for Resident Engineer Missions Main Duties Construction Supervision Oversee all on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with approved drawings specifications and quality standards Monitor daily progress resolve site issues and ensure the project is executed on schedule Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and vendors for smooth construction operations Quality Assurance Control Inspect construction works and materials to ensure conformity to design and contractual requirements Review and approve method statements shop drawings and material submittals Identify and address defects non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented Safety Compliance Enforce health safety and environmental standards at the site Conduct regular safety audits and ensure implementation of safety protocols Reporting Documentation Maintain daily site logs progress reports and quality records Report on construction status key issues risks and delays to project management Review as-built drawings and support certification processes Coordination Communication Liaise with design teams consultants and the client on technical and site matters Attend site meetings and provide technical input to resolve construction-related challenges Support the smooth handover of completed sections of the works Profile Skills Master s degree in construction management Graduate in Civil Engineering or Equivalent More than 15 years of experience Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization recognizing and respecting differences Ability to problem solve especially in an integrated project delivery environment applying industry best practices We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency As we are growing this is time to be a part of this challenging adventure It s not a job - it s a career
