We are seeking applications for the position of Resident Engineer for Resident Engineer.
Missions/Main Duties
Construction Supervision
Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily progress, resolve site issues, and ensure the project is executed on schedule.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for smooth construction operations.
Quality Assurance & Control
Inspect construction works and materials to ensure conformity to design and contractual requirements.
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
Identify and address defects, non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at the site.
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure implementation of safety protocols.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily site logs, progress reports, and quality records.
- Report on construction status, key issues, risks, and delays to project management.
Review as-built drawings and support certification processes.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with design teams, consultants, and the client on technical and site matters.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical input to resolve construction-related challenges.
- Support the smooth handover of completed sections of the works.
Profile/Skills
- Master's degree in construction management.
- Graduate in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
- More than 15 years of experience.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
- Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
