Job Summary We are looking for a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality baked goods and desserts The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking attention to detail and the ability to manage production in a fast-paced environment while ensuring consistency quality and innovation Key Responsibilities Product Creation Execution Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries cakes breads tarts cookies and other desserts Develop new pastry items seasonal specials and customized orders based on customer preferences and trends Ensure consistency in taste texture and presentation of all baked goods Quality Hygiene Maintain high standards of food quality freshness and presentation Ensure all products meet food safety regulations FSSAI HACCP or relevant standards Follow proper storage handling and sanitation procedures in the pastry kitchen Team Collaboration Supervise and train junior pastry staff and bakery assistants Delegate tasks efficiently and monitor team performance during shifts Collaborate with chefs catering managers and event coordinators for special menus and events Inventory Cost Control Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of ingredients and supplies Minimize wastage and ensure cost-effective production Maintain recipe documentation and portion control to manage costs Equipment Maintenance Operate and maintain pastry kitchen equipment ovens mixers proofers etc Ensure workstations and tools are cleaned and maintained properly Qualifications Experience Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts Baking Pastry or Hotel Management Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pastry production preferably in a hotel bakery or catering setup Strong technical skills in baking and decorating Knowledge of both traditional and modern pastry techniques Key Skills Creativity and innovation in pastry design Strong knowledge of baking methods and pastry ingredients Time management and multitasking ability Leadership and team management Excellent attention to detail Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards Work Environment Pastry kitchen within a bakery hotel or catering unit May involve early morning weekend or festive shifts based on order flow Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Schedule Day shift Rotational shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Work Location In person
