Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery efficiently, ensuring daily output targets, and maintaining the operational health and cleanliness of the equipment. The role requires strong attention to detail, understanding of machine operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with maintenance and quality control teams. A successful Machine Operator ensures that the machines run smoothly with minimal downtime and maximum productivity while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities1. Machine Operation Operate assigned machinery or production equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOP). Ensure that the machine runs at optimum capacity to meet or exceed daily production targets. Monitor machine parameters during operation (speed, temperature, pressure, etc.) and make adjustments when necessary. Start, stop, or reset machines as required during production cycles. 2. Output and Productivity Track and record the daily output from the machine and report any variances from expected production. Ensure the machine is utilized effectively throughout the shift without unnecessary downtime. Minimize idle time by coordinating timely raw material feeding and addressing operational delays promptly. Identify minor issues that may impact productivity and take corrective action or escalate if needed. 3. Raw Material Handling Ensure timely feeding of raw materials into the machine to avoid stoppages. Check the quality, quantity, and specifications of materials before use. Coordinate with the store or raw material handling department for inventory replenishment. 4. Coordination with Maintenance Team Promptly coordinate with the maintenance department for any technical or mechanical issues. Report unusual sounds, machine overheating, misalignment, or other early warning signs of machine failure. Support maintenance activities such as scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) or minor adjustments. 5. Cleanliness and Housekeeping Ensure daily cleaning of the machine before and after the shift. Keep the machine area free from debris, oil spills, scrap material, and other hazards. Follow 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and basic housekeeping standards. 6. Escalation and Reporting Immediately escalate major technical issues to the shift supervisor or maintenance head. Document downtime, machine stoppages, and production interruptions with reasons. Follow proper escalation channels for quality issues, material defects, or safety hazards. 7. Safety and Compliance Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during machine operation. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and machine handling guidelines. Participate in safety drills, audits, or refresher training as required.Key Skills and Competencies Machine Operation Skills: Ability to understand machine manuals, controls, and operational settings.
