Human Resources Manager

Job Summary The HR Manager will be a key partner to the plant leadership team responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility This role involves ensuring strict compliance with all central and state labour laws in India managing industrial relations and implementing HR policies that enhance employee engagement safety and productivity Key Responsibilities Statutory Compliance Administration Ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws and regulations including the Factories Act Minimum Wages Act Payment of Wages Act EPF Act ESI Act and others Oversee the timely and accurate calculation deduction and deposit of all statutory contributions such as Employees Provident Fund PF Employees State Insurance ESIC Professional Tax PT and Labour Welfare Fund LWF Manage the filing of all periodic statutory returns monthly quarterly half-yearly and annual and maintain all necessary statutory registers and records in an audit-ready format Liaise effectively with government and regulatory authorities during inspections and audits Employee Industrial Relations IR Serve as the primary liaison between management and the labour force fostering a positive and harmonious work environment Manage the formal grievance redressal mechanism ensuring all employee complaints and issues are handled promptly objectively and in accordance with company policy and labour laws Handle disciplinary matters conduct internal investigations and advise management on appropriate actions and termination procedures to ensure legal compliance Manage union relations if applicable participate in collective bargaining agreement CBA negotiations and resolve industrial disputes HR Policies Procedures Develop implement and update internal HR policies and the employee handbook to align with legal requirements and best practices Communicate policies clearly to all employees and managers ensuring consistent application across the facility Recruitment Onboarding Training Oversee the full recruitment life cycle for plant staff and workers from workforce planning to hiring and selection Ensure a robust onboarding process that includes essential safety and compliance training from day one Coordinate with department heads to identify training needs and implement development programs that boost skills and performance Compensation Benefits Administer compensation and benefits programs ensuring they are competitive within the industry and comply with wage laws Coordinate with the finance payroll department to ensure accurate and timely salary processing and benefits administration Health Safety Collaborate with the safety department to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all OHS Occupational Health and Safety regulations Oversee accident investigations workers compensation claims management and the implementation of wellness initiatives Qualifications Skills Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field Master s degree or HR certification like SHRM PHR a plus Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with significant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws industrial relations and statutory compliance requirements Strong problem-solving conflict resolution and interpersonal skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to manage a diverse workforce Proficiency in HR Information Systems HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 15 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Work Location In person
