Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Head IT to lead the IT department for one of our Group Company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in educational institutions, with a deep understanding of university and education infrastructures, applications portfolios, and network management. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of our IT services to support our academic and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the institution's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
- Lead the development and maintenance of educational applications and systems.
- Manage and optimize the institution's network infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand and address their IT needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Drive innovation in the use of technology to enhance the educational experience.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies to determine their potential impact on the institution.
- Ensure the security of the institution's IT assets and data through robust cybersecurity measures.
- Facilitate training and development programs for staff to enhance their IT skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (BE/BSc), or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Proven experience as a CIO, Head IT, or similar senior IT leadership role in an educational institution.
- Strong understanding of university and education infrastructures, applications portfolios, and network management.
- Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the education sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with ERP systems, learning management systems (LMS), and other educational technologies.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
- Certification in IT management or related areas.
- Experience in managing large-scale network infrastructures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives within an educational setting.
- Experience in managing cloud services and virtualization technologies.
