Operation and Reliability Position Overview Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters often requiring coordination between organizations Serves as the lead technical consultant responsible for design engineering and development of information technology solutions Leads the design analysis development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and or work requests for complex business solutions Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture project requirements customer expectations etc May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise Responsibilities may include risks assessments partnering on capacity planning budget forecasting and the diagnosis and correction of application network problems May serve as the primary contact for vendors Technologies span mainframe midrange desktop server network data voice messaging web database and output receiving Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments Responsibilities Perform initial investigation and triage for all tickets issues for all areas in the network infrastructure Complete all service now tickets in the queues Perform upgrades and refreshes as needed within the environment Able to resolve vulnerabilities when notified of items with a vulnerability Able to provide audit information as requested Provide technical support on incident calls as needed Accurately log and document all information in the network infrastructure Perform investigation and triage for alerts and events Troubleshoot complex multitier issues within the network infrastructure Perform escalation of incidents to higher tier support groups vendors and other support staff Perform monitoring and event management support for the entire network infrastructure Accurately log and document all changes incidents in Service Now ticketing system Identify opportunities for improvement in the monitoring and event management tools and processes Provide planning and vendor oversight for network change activity Report key performance metrics to management Qualifications We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Firewall Engineer to join our Information Security team The team protects the confidentiality integrity and availability of data and systems in core systems and platforms As a Firewall Operations Engineer your daily responsibilities revolve around the implementation and management of the network security infrastructure perimeter Working in tandem with a team of cybersecurity engineers you will managed efforts to prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents through continuous optimization of infrastructure policies and rules As a senior technical member of the team you ll play a crucial role in fostering cross-functional partnerships particularly with the IT department and development groups You will provide robust support and implement stringent security measures across global platforms ensuring that solutions remain fortified against evolving cyber threats while seamlessly integrating with the companys objectives The work includes Implement next generation Firewall NGFW infrastructure solutions at the enterprise level Diagnose and resolve application issues post firewall rule policy and feature implementation Necessary experience with Palo Alto ASA and Fortinet technologies in order of importance Palo Alto PCNSA and PCNSEa plus Analyze firewall requirements for application migrations to new infrastructure Manage changes through ServiceNow ITSM and other applications Manage firewall implementations through AlgoSec FireFlow Appviz ObjectFlow and Panorama applications Remove optimize old firewall policy configurations no longer required for optimization Participate in trouble-shooting application issues that may involve firewalls and other perimeter security infrastructure Exercise good judgment a sense of urgency and maintain a commitment to high standards of ethics regulatory compliance customer service and business integrity Equal Opportunity Statement Evernorth is an Equal Opportunity Employer actively encouraging and supporting organization-wide involvement of staff in diversity equity and inclusion efforts to educate inform and advance both internal practices and external work with diverse client populations
