Job Title - HIH – Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor – Automation QA

Position Overview:

As a NetDevOps team we at Evernorth are bringing Software Engineering, Agile & DevOps principles to Enterprise Networking, and Enterprise Networking into the DevOps team.

Job Overview:

NetDevOps is infrastructure as code; it is automating network engineering/operations to the furthest extent possible.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver infrastructure as code that has had automated end-to-end testing, documentation via published work & development processes & standards.

  • Greatly reduce repetitive boring manual tasks so you can work on the fun challenging projects that advance efficiency and operational integrity of Cigna's IT infrastructure.

  • Prevent fat finger mistakes or other errors and revert configurations back to the last working configuration to restore network services as quickly as possible. 

Responsibilities:

Clearly outline the primary duties and tasks associated with the role. Use action verbs (i.e., lead, drive, analyze, assess, research, etc.) to convey expectations.

Responsibilities:

As a Network automation SDET you will:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium

  • Understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Design, implement and execute test cases for web applications.

  • Experience with REST API testing

  • Collaborate closely with developers to identify test requirements

  • Identify and report bugs, ensuring proper follow-up.

  • Work with the DevOps resource to integrate the tests into the CI/CD pipeline

  • Perform functional testing, regression testing and smoke testing.

  • Work with the team to improve process, practice and tools in support of SDLC

  • Documenting the existing standards and develop designs to improve the efficiency of the automation testing.

  • Work in an Agile framework, and will be part of the Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand up, Sprint review and retrospective etc.

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Jenkins/Linux/Django/Networking (protocols, routing, firewall rules, etc.) experiences is a plus.

Required Skills:


•  4+ years of Selenium


•  4+ years as SDET


•  4+ years of Python development experience


•  Networking experience is a plus.


•  Excellent communication and mentoring skills.


•  Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


•  Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.


•  Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Education:


•   Bachelor's Degree (Business or Computer Science preferred) or equivalent work experience

Experience:


• 13-16 years of total experience required
