Job Description About the Company Urban Company is a technology platform offering customers a variety of services at home. Customers found it challenging to avail quality services conveniently, and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for disruption, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind - 1. Customer love: Build a platform that offers truly delightful and differentiated services 2. Partner empowerment: Build a deep, full-stack partnership with service partners, helping improve their earnings and overall livelihood 3. Technology first: Bring innovation and technology to an age-old industry About the Role - P&L management - Closely align with Business Heads & Finance Team for preparation of Business P&L's and help in implementation of the same. Understanding all the revenue & cost Headers in detail figure out the avenues for optimisations. - Forecasting: Assist is development of annual and recurring forecasts and scenario planning, focusing on the underlying business drivers and key financial and operating metrics. Understanding all the assumptions and data behind the assumptions will be a key task. - Budget vs Actual: Compare Monthly Budget vs actual Financial Data and provide reasons for variances. - Pricing: Analyze the pricing strategies and philosophies and compare it with the Market benchmarks and competitors to figure out the right levers for any price change discussion - Cost Saving & Revenue assurance: Continuously monitor the data for any costs being off than what was planned and there are no revenue leakages. - Inventory Management: Setting up processes and controls to manage Inventory sales and purchases, optimum DOI & Working Capital, recovery of dues and its accounting. - Designing Business processes: Required to take lead in setting up the process for new Business lines and unstructured existing Business Practices which are compliant from Legal, tax & Accounting Lens. - Special Projects: Provide Analytical and Decision making support for adhoc and special projects relating to Marketing Investments, Competition research and analysis - Stakeholder Management: Working with different Stakeholders across geos for process improvement, query management, New Business Strategy discussion and ongoing issue discussion. Requires end to end liaising with stakeholders What we'll need: - Candidates with strong business acumen and drive outcomes are preferred for the role. - CA with 1-5 years of work experience in Big4s (Financial due diligence)/ Industry in a similar role. - Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making mentality - Strong business acumen to understand the business requirements - Prior experience of working for a consumer tech startup will be a plus. - SQL knowledge shall be an added advantage What we'd love : - Ability to run mandates autonomously and with minimum supervision. - Ability to strategise and assess potential risk. - Ability to coordinate with different business teams, senior management, and external counsel on multiple mandates. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Attention to detail.
