Sales Engineer - PLC Programmable Logic Controllers Department Sales Technical SalesLocation Your Location Experience Level 1-5 years or as required Qualification Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldRole SummaryThe Sales Engineer - PLC will be responsible for driving sales of PLC systems automation solutions and related electrical products by combining technical expertise with strong customer relationship skills The role involves understanding customer requirements proposing suitable PLC-based solutions and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to project execution Key Responsibilities1 Sales Business DevelopmentIdentify and pursue new business opportunities for PLC and automation products in target industries - Prepare and deliver technical presentations to prospective customers - Develop proposals quotations and cost estimates based on customer requirements - Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets 2 Technical Consultation Solution Design- Understand customer applications processes and pain points to recommend suitable PLC solutions - Select appropriate PLC hardware I O modules HMI SCADA integration options and communication protocols - Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design and optimize automation solutions - Conduct product demonstrations and sample testing when required 3 Customer Support Relationship Management- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business - Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support including troubleshooting and application guidance - Coordinate with service teams for installation commissioning and after-sales service 4 Market Research Reporting- Monitor competitor products pricing and market trends - Provide regular sales forecasts pipeline updates and activity reports to management - Gather customer feedback and communicate product improvement suggestions to the engineering team Required Skills Qualifications- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering mandatory - Strong understanding of PLC architecture ladder logic and automation systems - Knowledge of major PLC brands Siemens Allen-Bradley Mitsubishi Schneider Omron etc - Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills - Ability to translate technical features into commercial benefits - Proficiency in reading electrical drawings wiring diagrams and control schematics ref updazz com
