As a coach here, your role is more than instruction; it’s leadership, example-setting, and accountability. Role Description This is a full-time, on-ground coaching role at Barbell Cartel, Whitefield. You’ll be responsible for delivering elite-level strength & conditioning sessions, educating clients on our barbell-centric methodology, running pair-based coaching, and maintaining the training standard that defines the Cartel. You are expected to coach, track progress, correct form relentlessly, and ensure every athlete follows the Cartel way. Qualifications We’re looking for someone with: - Strong foundation in strength training and barbell mechanics. - Prior coaching experience (S&C, personal training, athletic performance, or similar). - Ability to coach diverse populations—from beginners to athletes, - Excellent communication and presence on the floor. - Certifications (ACE, CF-L1/L2, ASCA, NSCA, etc.) are a plus but not a substitute for true coaching ability. - A growth mindset, relentless drive, and high personal training standards. Responsibilities - Deliver High-Quality S&C Training: Run structured coaching sessions centered around barbell lifts, progressive overload, good mechanics, and sustainable strength development. - Technique First, Always: Teach proper form, spot intelligently, cue effectively, and never compromise on biomechanical integrity — even when clients want shortcuts. - Pair-Based Coaching Execution: Manage 2:1 training efficiently — attention, corrections, programming adjustments, and real-time feedback. - Program Implementation: Execute BC’s training blocks, help track member progress, and ensure adherence to the Cartel’s strength progression model. - Client Education: Communicate training principles, explain the “why” behind programs, and instill discipline in clients. - Floor Energy & Presence: Maintain a strong, authoritative, motivating presence on the training floor at all times. - Self-Development: Study strength training, barbell coaching, performance science, and communication skills. Coaches are expected to constantly evolve. - Community Building: Represent the Cartel on and off the floor. Engage with members, guide new lifters, support a culture of accountability, and help build a community rooted in strength. - Operational Discipline: Maintain equipment standards, uphold safety protocols, and ensure the training area is always competition-ready.
