Operations Management
- Supervise and manage operations of three 6HI Cold Rolling Mills producing CR steel coils with thickness ranging from 0.13 to 3.0 mm and width 750 to 1250 mm at speeds up to 1200 MPM.
- Prepare production planning sheets focused on optimizing production cost and maximizing output.
- Achieve daily production targets by ensuring optimal machine utilization and effective manpower management.
- Oversee inventory control of rolls, coolant, consumables, and finished goods stock clearance.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure correct handling and storage of materials.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and recommend corrective actions to reduce downtime, scrap, and rework.
- Conduct rejection analysis and suggest corrective and preventive actions for continuous productivity improvement.
- Control quality by inspecting surface conditions and managing defects in rolling materials.
- Coordinate effectively with raw material, production, quality, procurement, and utilities teams for smooth operations.
Production Control & SAP Management
- Execute production schedules and shop floor production control, including manpower management and monthly production scheduling.
- Utilize SAP PP module for managing all production activities, including rolled coils inventory and goods return.
- Implement Micro Plan to reduce non-moving WIP and scrap.
- Monitor and control WIP inventory for efficient production flow.
- Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports on production performance.
Leadership & Training
- Lead and motivate the production team to achieve predetermined goals and maintain high productivity.
- Organize training programs aligned with ISO 9002, ISO 2000, and ISO 14000 standards.
- Drive automation initiatives to optimize manpower and improve operational efficiency.
- Act as a strategic and operational leader focused on process improvements, turnaround management, and team development.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of 6HI Cold Rolling Mill operations and machinery.
- Proficient in using SAP software and AUTOCAD for machine component design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet usage.
