About This Role

This position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative automation solutions. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC logics, HMI screens, and other automation-related tasks.

Your primary focus will be on supporting the Automation team in Bhubaneswar, India, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PLC Logic Development: Design, develop, and implement PLC logic programs using Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RsLogix platforms.
  • HMI Screen Development: Create user-friendly and intuitive HMI screens using Aveva Intouch, Siemens Wincc, and FactoryTalk platforms.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for PLC software-related issues in Automation projects.
  • Commissioning Activities: Participate in commissioning activities in the plant, ensuring smooth execution of projects.
  • Software Incident Management: Monitor and manage software incidents and issues occurring in the plants, collaborating with stakeholders to define and validate solutions.
Requirements:
  • PLC Programming Experience: Proven experience in PLC programming using Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell RsLogix, or similar platforms.
  • HMI Experience: Experience in developing HMI screens using Aveva Intouch, Siemens Wincc, FactoryTalk, or similar platforms.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of field sensors, industrial instrumentation, network protocols, and related technologies.
  • Onsite Commissioning Experience: Hands-on experience in onsite PLC commissioning.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-profile environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Work Experience: 2-4 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, plant maintenance, or similar roles.
  • Additional Requirements: Plant maintenance or project experience in long steel products rolling mills is a plus.
