Job Description Job Summary: The FIX Operations position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and supporting electronic trading connections for clients using the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol. Responsibilities include configuring new/existing connections and troubleshooting issues with clients and brokers on connectivity. This role requires knowledge of financial products, strong technical knowledge of the FIX Protocol, and client-facing skills to ensure smooth and efficient trading operations. Responsibilities: - Discuss with clients and brokers to set up new FIX connections. - Communicate with client counterparties and serve as an escalation point as needed. - Work on products and algo certification projects related to FIX setups. - Certify new brokers to ensure they meet performance and technical standards. - Manage the migration of existing connections from older systems to newer ones. - Accurate and timely reporting of project status on JIRA. - Provide day-to-day support on broker connections and second-line support on FIX connectivity. Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, financial math or related field. - Must have worked in financial services and investment technology: buy-side (OMS, EMS, IMS) or sell-side. - 2-5 years of experience with the FIX Protocol is a MUST, liaising with global business and technology teams. - In-depth knowledge of the FIX Protocol and experience with client-facing and production support activities. - Experience with Algo ATDL XML files and certifications. - Knowledge of asset classes such as equities, listed derivatives, and OTC products. - Strong knowledge of the order life cycle of various instruments and products. - Strong client services skills demonstrated by excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, prioritize urgent matters, and work independently.
