Sales Development Representative @ Zubcon - Chennai Key Responsibilities i. Sales & Relationship Management ii. Client Visits & Product Demos About Zubcon Zubcon is India's 1st distributed inventory platform for manufacturers, providing real-time visibility and control over raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across every plant, vendor, and jobworker. We empower manufacturers with AI-powered insights and powerful inventory dashboards to make smarter production planning, purchasing, and dispatch decisions while staying audit-ready. Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive growth by identifying, engaging, and converting manufacturing companies into Zubcon customers. This role is perfect for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about transforming how manufacturers manage their inventory operations. Key Responsibilities i. Lead Generation & Prospecting - Identify and research potential manufacturing clients across various industries (automotive, tractors, EV, etc.) - Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through cold outreach, networking, and referrals - Leverage digital tools and platforms to generate leads and track prospect engagement ii. Sales & Relationship Management - Conduct product demonstrations showcasing Zubcon's distributed inventory management capabilities - Understand manufacturing pain points related to inventory visibility, production planning, and supply chain management - Present tailored solutions that address specific client challenges and business objectives - Negotiate contracts and close deals while maintaining healthy profit margins iii. Market Intelligence & Strategy - Stay updated on manufacturing industry trends, challenges, and competitive landscape - Gather market feedback to inform product development and positioning strategies - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales materials iv. Client Success & Expansion - Ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new clients - Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts - Maintain long-term relationships to drive customer retention and referrals Required Qualifications >> Experience & Background - 2-4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, manufacturing, or supply chain technology - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets - Experience with complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders >>Skills & Competencies - Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Tamil/Hindi - Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities - Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales analytics - Understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, or supply chain processes (preferred) - Ability to translate technical features into business value propositions >>Personal Attributes - Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial mindset - Resilient and persistent in the face of rejection - Strategic thinker with attention to detail - Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment - Willingness to travel within Tamil Nadu and other key manufacturing hubs Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience selling to manufacturing companies - Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software - Existing network within Tamil Nadu's manufacturing ecosystem - Experience with account-based marketing and sales strategies What We Offer - Competitive salary with an attractive commission structure - Professional development opportunities - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and analytics technology - Direct impact on transforming India's manufacturing sector Location Chennai (with travel required to client locations)
