Job Overview An Install Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining electronic security and access control systems at client locations. This role involves working on various devices, including biometric attendance systems, door access control systems, boom barriers, door interlocking setups, alarm systems, and other electronic security equipment. The position requires candidates with basic technical knowledge, hands-on installation skills, and a willingness to learn. Freshers and experienced candidates can apply, as company-provided training will be given for handling installations and system configurations. Key Responsibilities 1. Electronic Equipment Installation Install, configure, and set up various electronic security systems, such as: Biometric Attendance Devices Door Access Control Systems Boom Barriers Door Interlocking Systems Intruder Alarm Systems CCTV Cameras (if required) Perform wiring, mounting, and fitting work at client locations. Ensure proper alignment and secure installation of all devices. 2. System Configuration and Testing Configure biometric devices and integrate them with the company’s software. Set up access permissions, user registrations, and attendance data synchronization. Test alarm systems, interlocking setups, and boom barrier operations. Ensure equipment functions smoothly before handing it over to the client. 3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to installed systems. Provide preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime. Assist clients in handling basic troubleshooting steps when required. 4. Client Coordination and Support Interact with clients to understand installation requirements. Provide demonstrations and basic training to clients on using the systems. Address customer concerns and escalate complex issues to senior engineers. 5. Documentation and Reporting Maintain proper installation records, including job cards, wiring diagrams, and device configurations. Prepare daily work reports and share updates with the team leader or supervisor. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and system upgrades. 6. Safety and Compliance Follow workplace safety guidelines while handling electronic equipment. Use appropriate tools, protective gear, and electrical safety measures. Comply with company policies and customer site security protocols. Required Skills and Competencies Technical Skills Basic understanding of electronics, wiring, and circuit connections. Knowledge of biometric systems, access controls, and alarm devices (preferred but not mandatory). Familiarity with using hand tools, drilling machines, and wiring tools.
