Category Specialist At ABB we are dedicated to addressing global challenges Our core values care courage curiosity and collaboration - combined with a focus on diversity inclusion and equal opportunities - are key drivers in our aim to empower everyone to create sustainable solutions Write the next chapter of your ABB story This position reports to Procurement Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role you will have the opportunity to support regional global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold Each day you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications price delivery schedule and terms You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures The work model for the role is LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Process Industries in the India Region You will be mainly accountable for Supporting the development and implementation of regional global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional global category leader Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists and terms and conditions Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives Creating local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates maintains frame contracts Qualifications for the role Full-time bachelor
