Business Function Group Human Resources has the important role of attracting retaining and nurturing talent to ensure that DBS continues to be a competitive employer in Asia With a well-established team of HR partners we support and deliver effective people-based solutions and services across businesses Our goal is to build a high-performance organisation by empowering and engaging our employees Because we believe that banking is about people Employee Relation will be an important and critical function within HR responsible to create and drive the right culture and creating a safe environment for Employees The function is responsible for end to end management of all Employee Relations activities including Grievance Disciplinary employee litigation management Prevention of Sexual Harassment cases review of related policies processes guidelines regulatory reporting statutory compliance activities where ever applicable Job Duties Responsibilities Drive and actively contribute to the implementation of the People and ER Strategy initiatives Proactively lead all employee related investigations and solving them in a fair and appropriate manner in line with principles of Natural Justice Ensure that all matters related to disciplinary grievance are complied with the prescribed Terms of References Develop and implement plans practices and procedures to further support senior business stakeholders and HR Relationship Managers in the handling of complex employment matters Periodically review all ER policies procedures in line with regulations Work closely with internal legal team external legal consultants to manage employee litigations MIS reporting of all ER matters with relevant stakeholders including regulatory compliance requirement in a timely manner Work with Business and HR colleagues and assist in embedding the HR strategy of high-performance culture Requirements Post graduate in HR Legal Labour Laws qualification preferred Experience of at least 6 years in Employee Relations with exposure to Labour litigations trade union management preferred Strong analytical critical thinking investigative and problem-solving skills Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy and working collaboratively across multiple business lines with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels Ability to effectively organize prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of employment policies practices and employment law and regulations Experience coaching consulting and advising employees HR and business stakeholders
