Job Description: Business Development Manager Location-Bangalore Role Summary We are seeking a high performing Business Development Lead to drive new client acquisition and expand existing accounts for mid level to leadership hiring mandates. You will be responsible for hunting, negotiating, closing deals, and ensuring healthy pipelines. You will be the face of the company in the market, working closely with delivery teams and clients alike. Key Responsibilities - Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients (HR Heads, business leaders, functional heads) - Execute outreach strategies: cold calls, referrals, events, networking - Prepare and present proposals customized to client needs - Negotiate contracts: service fees, payment terms, exclusivity, deliverables - Close deals while ensuring profitability and delivery viability - Manage and grow relationships with existing clients: secure repeat mandates, cross sell services - Collaborate with recruitment/delivery teams to ensure alignment and feasibility - Maintain and forecast pipelines, conversion metrics, and sales dashboards - Stay updated with market trends, compensation benchmarks, industry verticals - Travel as needed to meet clients / attend events Who You Are / What You Bring - 5+ years in Business Development, Sales or Client Acquisition in recruitment / executive search / leadership hiring space - Proven track record of winning mandates at mid to senior / leadership levels - Strong negotiation skills - comfortable negotiating fees and payment terms - Excellent communication (verbal + written), persuasion, client presence - Numbers oriented - confident managing targets, pipeline, forecasting - Good understanding of recruitment process, delivery constraints, candidate market - High perseverance, self starter, strong follow up discipline - Existing network with HR, CxO / senior leaders in the Bangalore / India markets - Prior experience in a leadership hiring / executive search firm is a must - Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent is a plus What Success Looks Like / KPIs - New clients onboarded per quarter - Revenue / mandate fees closed - Average deal size / margin - Proposal - mandate conversion rate - Client retention / repeat mandates - Speed to close deals - Quality feedback from clients & delivery teams
