About Freshly Freshly is a fresh-first quick commerce platform solving for F&V and fresh grocery in India. We are building a modern, tech-enabled supply chain that delivers high-quality fresh products with transparency, consistency, and speed. Our dark-store model, daily procurement engine, and real-time digital experience allow us to offer a differentiated fresh grocery experience to households. As we scale, Freshly is expanding deeper into fresh grocery categories, and category excellence is a core driver of our next phase of growth. Role We are hiring a Senior Manager – Category to own strategy, assortment, vendor development, pricing, and P&L for Freshly’s expanding fresh-grocery portfolio. This is a high-impact role where you will build categories from the ground up and work closely with founders across product, operations, and supply chain. Responsibilities - Define and execute category strategy across Freshly’s fresh-grocery portfolio. - Build and refine assortment, pricing ladders, visibility plans, and margin structures. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; negotiate commercials and improve unit economics. - Ensure product availability, demand planning accuracy, and low stock-outs across stores. - Own category P&L: margins, wastage norms, offers, and efficiencies. - Drive customer insights, velocity analysis, and data-led decision making. - Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing to drive category growth and experience. Requirements - 5–10 years of category management experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, D2C, or modern trade. - Strong commercial and analytical skills; comfort with fast decision cycles. - Proven ability to build and scale categories in a fast-paced environment. - High ownership mindset with cross-functional execution capability. - Experience in fresh grocery, perishables, or fast-moving categories is a strong plus.
