About Freshly Freshly is a fresh-first quick commerce platform solving for F&V and fresh grocery in India. We are building a modern, tech-enabled supply chain that delivers high-quality fresh products with transparency, consistency, and speed. Our dark-store model, daily procurement engine, and real-time digital experience allow us to offer a differentiated fresh grocery experience to households. As we scale, Freshly is expanding deeper into fresh grocery categories, and category excellence is a core driver of our next phase of growth. Role We are hiring a Senior Manager – Category to own strategy, assortment, vendor development, pricing, and P&L for Freshly’s expanding fresh-grocery portfolio. This is a high-impact role where you will build categories from the ground up and work closely with founders across product, operations, and supply chain. Responsibilities Define and execute category strategy across Freshly’s fresh-grocery portfolio. Build and refine assortment, pricing ladders, visibility plans, and margin structures. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; negotiate commercials and improve unit economics. Ensure product availability, demand planning accuracy, and low stock-outs across stores. Own category P&L: margins, wastage norms, offers, and efficiencies. Drive customer insights, velocity analysis, and data-led decision making. Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing to drive category growth and experience. Requirements 5–10 years of category management experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, D2C, or modern trade. Strong commercial and analytical skills; comfort with fast decision cycles. Proven ability to build and scale categories in a fast-paced environment. High ownership mindset with cross-functional execution capability.
