Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Design Consultant to provide pre-sales support, design effective AV solutions, and collaborate closely with clients to meet their audiovisual needs. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Sales Support: - Engage with clients to understand AV requirements and objectives. - Provide technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, offering insights into AV solutions. Solution Design: - Design comprehensive AV solutions based on client specifications and industry best practices. - Create detailed AV system schematics, diagrams, and documentation. Client Collaboration: - Present and explain proposed AV designs to clients, addressing inquiries or concerns. - Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. Product Knowledge: - Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and products. - Collaborate with vendors to understand product features and capabilities. Collaboration with Sales Teams: - Partner with sales teams to develop proposals and presentations for clients. - Assist in preparing accurate and competitive project bids. Quality Assurance: - Conduct system testing and quality assurance checks on AV solutions. - Ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience in AV pre-sales support and design engineering. - Proficient in AV design software and tools. - Strong understanding of audiovisual technologies, signal flow, and system integration. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: - Industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D (InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist - Design). - Familiarity with control systems (Crestron, AMX) and video conferencing solutions. - Project management skills for coordinating AV installations.
