Summary The Commis I South Indian is responsible for preparing cooking and presenting authentic South Indian dishes under the supervision of senior chefs The role requires a solid understanding of South Indian flavors ingredients and cooking techniques ensuring high-quality food and consistency in every dish served Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes such as dosas idlis vadas upma sambar rasam and regional specialties Follow standard recipes portion sizes and presentation guidelines Assist in menu development and contribute ideas for new South Indian items Ensure all mise en place is prepared and organized before each service Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene sanitation and safety at all times Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients and report any discrepancies to the senior chef Properly label store and rotate food items to minimize waste Assist in receiving and storing supplies according to company procedures Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operations Comply with all HACCP and kitchen safety standards Take responsibility for assigned kitchen equipment and ensure it is clean and well-maintained Qualifications and Skills Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role specializing in South Indian cuisine Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian recipes spices and cooking techniques Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and holidays Passion for authentic South Indian cuisine and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long hours during service Able to lift and move moderate weights as required in kitchen operations Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 18 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Ability to commute relocate Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Education Diploma Required Language Hindi Required English Required Work Location In person
