Job Description About The Opportunity A fast-growing organisation operating in Cloud Data Engineering and Enterprise Analytics, delivering production-grade data platforms and real-time analytics solutions for large-scale business customers. We design, build and operate secure, scalable data systems on Google Cloud to enable data-driven decision-making across marketing, product and operations. Primary title: Google Cloud Data Engineer - Location: India (On-site) Role & Responsibilities - Design, build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines on Google Cloud (batch and streaming) using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage and BigQuery. - Implement ETL/ELT patterns and data ingestion frameworks with Apache Beam, ensuring data quality, partitioning and cost-efficient storage/query strategies. - Author infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for reproducible deployments, manage environment provisioning and CI/CD for data workloads. - Optimize query performance, cost and throughput in BigQuery; implement partitioning, clustering and materialized views where appropriate. - Instrument observability: build monitoring, logging and alerting (Cloud Monitoring / Logging) and runbook procedures for data jobs and pipelines. - Collaborate with Data Science, Product and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, production-ready data solutions and mentor junior engineers. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have - Proven hands-on experience building production data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform - Strong proficiency with BigQuery and SQL query tuning - Experience with Dataflow and Apache Beam for streaming/batch processing - Experience with Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage for ingestion and staging - Familiarity with workflow orchestration (Cloud Composer / Airflow) - Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD for data applications Preferred - Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification - Familiarity with Dataproc / Spark or Bigtable for specialized workloads - Experience with cost optimization and governance for large BigQuery deployments Benefits & Culture Highlights - On-site role with exposure to enterprise-scale data projects and cross-functional teams. - Opportunity for rapid skill growth in cloud-native data engineering and mentoring responsibilities. - Structured learning path and support for GCP certifications and advanced training.
